Expand your dive time!
If you are looking to considerably expand your dive time the TDI Advanced Nitrox Course is for you! It qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox up to EAN 100 percent to a maximum depth of 40 meters/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression.
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver course is very often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course. While it is not a must to proceed in that direction, being certified in both – advanced nitrox and decompression procedures- you will have laid a solid foundation for your technical diving or rebreather diving career.
Course Contents
- Advanced Nitrox picks up where TDI Nitrox leaves off and offers a more in-depth look at diving with nitrox including:
- physics and physiology relating to diving with gas mixes containing more than 40% oxygen
- gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen, and nitrogen limitations
- equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, gas blending procedures, and oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% oxygen
Course Requirements
To take the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver course you must be 18 years old (15-17 years we do require parental consent), have a TDI Nitrox Diver certification, or an equivalent from another dive organization, and have proof of 25 logged open water dives.
The TDI Advanced Nitrox course is based on students taking the respective TDI online course prior to the in-water training portion. Training dives typically can be accomplished over the course of two days.

Course Fees
The online course is $139.95 per student (2020 rate). When purchasing the online course please make sure to affiliate with Scuba-Fun as your TDI dive store to avoid additional costs. Course tuition for your practical dive training is charged at $400 per training day or $200 for half days. Depending on your training location there will be additional charges for dive charters and/or entrance fees. Please call us to find out what these fees will be for your training.
