Everything You Need to Know About Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Summary of Cancellation & Refund Policy
Quick Summary
General Reservations
- 1–4 people: Cancel at least 24 hours before check-in
- 5–10 people: Cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before check-in
- 11+ people: Cancel at least 7 days before check-in
Refunds are issued minus a 3.5% administrative fee.
Cancellations made within 48 hours incur an additional $25 per person fee.
Private Charters, Specialty Trips & Holiday Bookings
(Private charters, private courses, lobstering, spearfishing, specialty courses)
Stricter cancellation terms apply:
- 1–4 people: 72 hours before check-in
- 5–10 people: 7 days before check-in
- 11+ people: 14 days before check-in
Scuba Courses
- Courses are non-refundable once started
- Full payment is required at booking or check-in
- Late cancellations, no-shows, or withdrawal after starting are 100% non-refundable
Holiday Periods
Holiday cancellation terms apply during the following dates:
- Christmas & New Year’s: December 20 through the first Sunday after January 1
- Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving:
From 3 days before through 3 days after the holiday
Cancellation Fees
- Administrative Fee: 3.5% per reservation (all customer-initiated cancellations)
- Late Cancellation Fee: $25 per person for cancellations made within 48 hours
- Dive & Snorkel Charters: Late cancellations, late arrivals, or no-shows are 100% non-refundable
Check-In Times (Used for Cancellation Cutoffs)
Unless otherwise confirmed in writing:
- Morning dive charters: 7:00 AM
- Afternoon dive charters: 11:45 AM
- Pool training days: 7:30 AM
Rescheduling Policy
- Rescheduling within the cancellation window is subject to a $25 per person administrative fee, based on availability
- If a rescheduled trip is later canceled, the deposit is forfeited
Weather & Unforeseen Events
- If we cancel due to unsafe conditions, certified divers may reschedule at no charge or receive a full refund
- Scuba courses (including Try Scuba / Discover Scuba) will continue from shore when boats cannot operate
- If a trip is aborted after departure, partial refunds may apply, depending on the charter operator
- Courses interrupted due to unforeseen events (e.g., instructor illness) may be rescheduled or partially refunded for unused portions
Refundable Situations
- Cancellations made outside the required notice period
- Certified diver trips canceled by us or the charter operator due to weather
- Two-site trips shortened after the first site due to deteriorating conditions
(Possible 50% refund, charter-operator dependent)
Non-Refundable Situations
No refunds will be issued for:
- No-shows or late arrivals
- Seasickness or choosing not to dive/snorkel
- Rainy weather unless the trip is officially canceled
- Failure to complete required eLearning or provide medical clearance
- Illness preventing participation
- Fewer participants arriving than originally booked
- Arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Unused gear rentals, air fills, gift cards, or certificates
- Students who quit, lack required skills, or fail to complete training
- Technical, CCR, Divemaster, or Instructor-level courses
- Issued eLearning codes
- Scuba training or Discover Scuba dives that cannot be conducted from a boat
Important Notes
- Students are responsible for payment for all training sessions attended, including pool sessions
- PADI Travel bookings do not include eLearning, which must be purchased separately before in-water training
