Key Largo Scuba Diving

Scuba Refresher

If it has been a while since your last dive it is always a good idea to refresh your scuba skills before embarking on your next scuba adventure. Here at Scuba-Fun a scuba refresher program is required if it has been more than two years since your last dive. Depending on your preference you have a few options to go about it.

You can take a conventional refresher class with us, which is a one-day program that entails a classroom session in the morning as well as a review of your skills in the pool before you do two instructor-guided reef dives in the afternoon. The course starts at 8 am and will finish at around 5 pm. There will be a lunch break of about an hour in between the pool session and afternoon dives.

The course fee is $225 plus tax per person (2 or more students, $250 plus tax for individual students) which includes all your rental equipment except for the mask, snorkel, and fins. If you do not have these you can rent a set from us ($15 rental fee) or choose to purchase from our selection applying a 10% student discount. Please make sure to bring your logbook so your instructor can properly sign off on your refresher dives.

Put even more emphasis on your refresher training by taking the PADI ReActivate program before coming to us for your training. It is the perfect way to update your dive skills and knowledge from the PADI Open Water Diver Course before jumping back into the water, especially when you are on the go since you can download it onto your mobile devices. Whether you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, ReActivate is personalized for you: You conveniently review scuba concepts on your tablet, mobile device, or computer, then go diving with us. The very best part is divers who complete both the knowledge and in-water skill refresher receive a replacement certification card with a ReActivated date on it. The PADI ReActivate online course price is currently $75 per person (2024 rate).

Please review the Diver Medical Questionnaire. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions you will need to get a release from your doctor before we can start the in-water training.
