Everything You Need to Know About Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Quick Summary of Cancellation & Refund Policy
- General reservations (1β4 people): Cancel 24 hours before check-in for a refund (minus 3.5% admin fee).
- Small groups (5β10 people): Cancel 72 hours (3 days) before check-in.
- Large groups (11+): Cancel 1 week before check-in.
- Private charters, holiday bookings, specialty trips (lobstering/spearfishing): Stricter terms apply (up to 2 weeks for large groups).
- Scuba courses: Non-refundable once started; full payment due at check-in.
- Weather: If we cancel due to unsafe conditions, you can reschedule for free or get a full refund.
- Non-refundable: No-shows, late arrivals, seasickness, rainy weather (unless officially canceled), or failing to complete required eLearning/medical clearance.

Full Cancellation & Refund Policy Details
General Cancellation Policy
- Reservations up to 4 people: Cancel at least 24 hours before check-in.
- Small group reservations (5β10 people): Cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before check-in.
- Group reservations (11+ people): Cancel at least 168 hours (1 week) before check-in.
Private Charters, Specialty Charters & Holidays
For private charters, private courses, specialty trips (lobstering/spearfishing), and bookings during National Holidays, stricter terms apply:
- Up to 4 people: Cancel at least 72 hours before check-in.
- Groups of 5β10: Cancel at least 7 days before check-in.
- Groups of 11+: Cancel at least 14 days before check-in.
Holiday Periods Include:
- Christmas & New Yearβs: December 20 β first Sunday after January 1.
- Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving: 3 days before to 3 days after the holiday.
Cancellation Fees
- Admin Fee: 5% per reservation (applies to all cancellations by customer).
- Dive/Snorkel Charters: Cancel late, arrive late, or no-show β $100 per person per trip.
- Scuba Courses: Cancellations, late arrivals, no-shows, or quitting after starting β 100% non-refundable. Courses must be paid in full at check-in.
Check-In Times
- Morning Dive Charters: 7:00 AM
- Afternoon Dive Charters: 11:45 AM
- Pool Training Days: 8:00 AM
Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, these times apply for cancellation purposes.
Rescheduling Policy
Weβre happy to reschedule based on availability:
- Requests within cancellation windows: $25 admin fee per person.
- If a rescheduled trip is later canceled, your deposit will be retained.
Refunds
Weather & Unforeseen Events
- If bad weather forces a cancellation, you may reschedule for free or receive a full refund.
- If conditions worsen during a trip, partial refunds may be available depending on the charter operator.
- For scuba courses interrupted by unforeseen events (e.g., instructor illness), you may reschedule for free or receive a partial refund for unused course portions.
Refundable Situations
- Cancellations made outside the required notice period β refund minus 3.5% admin fee.
- Certified divers booked on dive/snorkel charters canceled by us or the boat operator due to weather β 100% refund.
- If a two-location trip is cut short after the first site due to deteriorating conditions β possible 50% refund (charter company dependent).
Non-Refundable Situations
No refunds are provided in the following cases:
- Seasickness, personal choice not to dive/snorkel, or disliking conditions.
- Failure to pass or provide medical clearance at check-in.
- Arriving late, not showing up, or arriving intoxicated.
- Illness preventing you from diving (please consider travel insurance).
- Groups arriving with fewer participants than booked.
- Rainy weather (unless the trip is officially canceled).
- Unused gear rentals, air fills, gift cards/certificates.
- Scuba students who quit, cannot complete due to lack of ability, or fail to complete required eLearning before training.
- Technical, CCR, and professional courses (Divemaster, Instructor).
- Purchased eLearning codes/courses (non-refundable once issued).
Important Notes
- Student Training: Students must pay for any training session they attend, including pool training.
- PADI Travel Bookings: Courses booked via PADI Travel do not include eLearning fees. Students must purchase eLearning separately from PADI, SDI/TDI, or us before the in-water training begins.
