Everything You Need to Know About Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Summary of Cancellation & Refund Policy
General Reservations (1–4 people)
Cancel at least 24 hours before check-in to receive a refund (minus 3.5% administrative fee).
Small Groups (5–10 people)
Cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before check-in for a refund (minus 3.5% administrative fee).
Large Groups (11+ people)
Cancel at least 7 days before check-in for a refund (minus 3.5% administrative fee).
Private Charters, Holiday Bookings & Specialty Trips
(Private charters, lobstering, spearfishing, specialty courses)
Stricter cancellation terms apply — up to 14 days’ notice for large groups.
Scuba Courses
Courses are non-refundable once started. Full payment is required at check-in.
Weather Cancellations
If we cancel due to unsafe conditions, certified divers may reschedule at no charge or receive a full refund.
This does not apply to open water dives during scuba courses, which will be conducted from shore when conditions allow.
Non-Refundable Situations
No-shows, late arrivals, seasickness, rainy weather (unless officially canceled), or failure to complete required eLearning or medical clearance.

Full Cancellation & Refund Policy
General Cancellation Policy
- 1–4 people: Cancel at least 24 hours before check-in
- 5–10 people: Cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before check-in
- 11+ people: Cancel at least 168 hours (7 days) before check-in
Private Charters, Specialty Trips & Holiday Bookings
For private charters, private courses, specialty trips (lobstering/spearfishing), and National Holiday periods, stricter terms apply:
- 1–4 people: Cancel at least 72 hours before check-in
- 5–10 people: Cancel at least 7 days before check-in
- 11+ people: Cancel at least 14 days before check-in
Holiday Periods Include:
- Christmas & New Year’s: December 20 through the first Sunday after January 1
- Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving:
From 3 days before to 3 days after the holiday
Cancellation Fees
- Administrative Fee: 3.5% per reservation (applies to all customer-initiated cancellations)
- Dive & Snorkel Charters: Late cancellations, late arrivals, or no-shows are 100% non-refundable
- Scuba Courses: Late cancellations, no-shows, or withdrawal after starting are 100% non-refundable
(Courses must be paid in full at booking or check-in)
Check-In Times
Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, the following check-in times apply for cancellation purposes:
- Morning Dive Charters: 7:00 AM
- Afternoon Dive Charters: 11:45 AM
- Pool Training Days: 8:00 AM
Rescheduling Policy
- Rescheduling within the cancellation window is subject to a $25 administrative fee per person, based on availability
- If a rescheduled trip is later canceled, the deposit will be forfeited
Weather & Unforeseen Events
- If unsafe sea conditions cancel a dive/snorkel trip for certified divers, you may reschedule for free or receive a full refund
- Scuba course training including Try Scuba/DiscoverScuba will continue from shore if boats cannot operate
- If a trip is aborted after departure, partial refunds may apply depending on the charter operator
- Scuba courses interrupted by unforeseen events (e.g., instructor illness) may be rescheduled or partially refunded for unused portions
Refundable Situations
- Cancellations made outside the required notice period (refund minus 3.5% admin fee)
- Certified diver trips canceled by us or the boat operator due to weather
- Two-site trips shortened after the first site due to deteriorating conditions
(possible 50% refund, charter-operator dependent)
Non-Refundable Situations
No refunds will be issued for:
- Seasickness or personal choice not to dive/snorkel
- Failure to provide or pass required medical clearance at check-in (scuba courses only)
- Late arrivals, no-shows, or arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Illness preventing participation (travel insurance recommended)
- Fewer participants than booked arriving with a group
- Rainy weather unless the trip is officially canceled
- Unused gear rentals, air fills, gift cards, or certificates
- Students who quit, lack required skills, or fail to complete eLearning
- Technical, CCR, Divemaster, and Instructor-level courses
- Issued eLearning codes (non-refundable)
- Scuba training dives or Try Scuba/Discover Scuba dives that cannot be conducted from a boat
Important Notes
- Training Sessions: Students are responsible for payment for all training sessions attended, including pool sessions
- PADI Travel Bookings: eLearning is not included and must be purchased separately before in-water training
